Hettinger, North Dakota is a small town with very little crime and a very friendly atmosphere.
It is a town of about
1,500 in the Southwest corner of the state. Hettinger has some of the
finest pheasant hunting in America. Deer, antelope, duck, geese, turkey, partridge
and quail are abundant as well. It is centrally located for fishing
(walleye heaven) and casinos in two states. Theodore Roosevelt National
park is about two hours drive away.
It has the largest, nationally recognized health facility in Southwestern
North Dakota. A new 24 hour staffed retirement home that can provide one
to two bedroom apartments. Just outside of town, an 4,800 foot runway
airport with all weather service and radio-controlled lighting and visual
approach system. There is also a newly renovated 9 hole golf course with
grass greens, club house, and pro shop.
